Plateau Emilie

After studying the fine arts in Montpellier, Emilie Plateau moved to Brussels, where she started her career as a comics author and illustrator, at first creating personal fanzines and later working for publishing houses like 6 Pieds Sous Terre ("Comme un plateau," 2012, and "De l'autre côté à Montréal," 2014) and Misma ("Moi non plus," 2015). In 2019 she has continued her breakthrough, publishing with Dargaud a graphic novel adaptation of Tania de Montaigne's book "Noire, la vie méconnue de Claudette Colvin" ("Colored: The Unsung Life of Claudette Colvin," Europe Comics). She also publishes children's books and works for the press, and participates in many comics collectives.
