Beginning in the mid-1960s and for the next thirty years, Vittorio was the king of poster art in Quebec and in Canada as a whole, where he also exhibited and won awards for his photographs, illustrations and comic strips. An artist with an innocent and often mischievous—we might even say provocative—approach, his playful, vividly colourful style stood out as evidence of his unrestrained and fresh creativity, a far cry from the prevailing design ideals of the time.
