#1 Prophecy is God’s revelation regarding history in advance. Only God, who is omniscient, knows the future. Because of this, He is the only one who can reveal it to us.

#2 The term end times is a general term that embraces a broad spectrum of events that will take place in the last days. It includes the rapture, the judgment seat of Christ for Christians, the seven-year tribulation period, the second coming of Christ, Christ’s millennial kingdom, the great white throne judgment for the wicked, and a destiny in hell for the wicked.

#3 The New Testament uses the term last days to refer to the present church age, which is when we are living. It is critical to recognize, however, the distinction between how last days is used in the New Testament in reference to the church age and how it is used in Old Testament prophecies in reference to Israel.

#4 God does not give us prophecy to teach us mere facts about the end times. It is highly revealing that many prophetic passages in the Bible are followed by an exhortation to personal purity.
