Leonarda Carranza

LEONARDA CARRANZA was born in San Salvador and currently lives in Brampton, Canada, part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. She holds a PhD in Social Justice Education from the University of Toronto. Her debut picture book, Abuelita and Me/Abuelita y yo, was a Kirkus Best Book of the Year and winner of the International Latino Book Award.
